"Demba" Shoulder Mask - The Baga People (Guinée) wood, fiber, metal, pigments - H: 135 cm, Musée d'Histoire naturelle - Toulouse

A mask of enormous proportions, it was worn by two dancers, who used two flaps at chest level in order to see. The mask was used for festivities linked to the culture and harvest of rice.
