MIRROR


Bronze. electrum, traces of gilding.
Height. 27,7 cm, Width. 15,9 cm, Depth. 3,5 cm.
Provenance : Bouhen, Temple sector in the middle Kingdom fort.
New Kingdom, XVIII th dynasty, circa 1400 B.C.
Khartum, National Museum, n° 18595.


The female figurine has, at the top of the skull, a conical support in which a mirrored disc is embedded. In her left hand, raised to the level of her chest, the young woman is holding a kitten.
