Silk Road Buddhist Art ![]() After a successful viewing at the Grand Palais in Paris, the exhibition moves to Tokyo. Spanning a period from the first to the tenth centuries A.D., some 300 works on loan from major state collections in Asia, Europe and Russia tell the story of Buddhism and its propagation from India to China, Japan and Korea. The exquisite objects excavated from over twenty sites including Buddhist temples, monasteries and frescoed caves are not only of enormous scientific and religious interest, but make for a stunning exhibition. Organized in cooperation with the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Art, Tokyo Renaissance Promotion Commitee, Réunion des Musées Nationaux and The Yomiuri Shimbun.
