Giotto's Scrovegni Chapel ITALY PADUA  •  Cappella degli Scrovegni  •  ongoing   Giotto's newly restored masterpiece reopens to the public on the same day (25 March) in 2002 that his banker patron Enrico Scrovegni opened the frescoed chapel in 1305. The frescoes depict the life of Christ, the Virgin Mary and the Last Judgment, and are widely considered Giotto's highest achievement. Advance booking is advisable as only a limited number of visitors will be admitted to the chapel for some 15 minutes in order to protect the frescoes. The cost of a ticket is 11 Euros.
