Simply Superb Pecan Pie

Serves 6

PARIS, 22 NOVEMBER 2008- A recipe for a delicious pecan pie from Cyberchef editor Philippe Broad.


3 Eggs, beaten
1 cup Sugar
1/2 cup dark Corn Syrup
1 teaspoon Vanilla
6 tablespoons melted Butter
1 cup Pecans, pieces or halves
1 unbaked 9-inch Pie crust

Simply Superb Pecan Pie


  1. Preheat oven to 350 dgrees.
  1. Beat eggs thoroughly with sugar, corn syrup, vanilla and melted butter. Add pecans.
  1. Line pie dish with uncooked short pastry and prick the bottom with a fork. Pour the beaten mixture into the pastry and arrange the pecans halves so that they are all facing crinkly side up.
  1. Bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until knife inserted halfway between outside and center comes out clean.

Serving suggestion

Serve cold or warm. Delicious with whipped cream.
