The contemporary circus series that began this year at the Palace of Arts continues with a very special production. Bringing together a young team of freshly graduated students from the Imre Baross Hungarian Circus Institute, Recirquel has a good chance of emerging as the first contemporary circus troupe in Hungary. Under the title of Circus in the Night, the troupe presents excerpts from the show seen at the Sziget Festival.
Director Bence Vági is a graduate in choreography and directing from the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts. The musical accompaniment draws on a wide variety of styles. It is composed – and will be partly performed live – by Péter Sárik, already a very familiar name on the international jazz scene.
Performers: Ákos Biritz, Bettina Bogdán, Richárd Herczeg, Míra Horváth, Renátó Illés, Leonetta Lakatos, Alexandra Lőrincz, Áron Pintér, Zsanett Veress Narrator: Anna Balog piano: Péter Sárik
