Finishing of the Mozart bicentenary with the Mozart-da Ponte trilogy is a wonderful idea, with casts of mostly young performers under the baton of Ingo Metzmacher. But entrusting the staging to the likes of Jossi Wieler who enjoys nothing more than turning everything on its head, usually for no apparent reason, may result in decreased enjoyment.
