Men: Rodin and His Drawings of Male Nudes
FRANCE PARIS • Musée Auguste Rodin • Ongoing |

The drawings of male nudes by French sculptor Auguste Rodin (1840 - 1917) are less familiar than those of his female nudes. As this show documents, however, Rodin continued to draw male nudes well into his 50s. During his early years of training, as an apprentice, Rodin assiduously copied classical works from antiquity and later, notably in 1877, studied the male nude in depth through the drawings of Michelangelo.
