Chinese-born, New York-based choreographer and artist Shen Wei brings two dance works, Rite of Spring and Re-, to Premiere Dance Theatre at the Luminato, Toronto's Festival of Arts and Creativity.
Rite of Spring draws from Chinese opera and contemporary dance techniques and features a four-hand piano version of Stravinsky's music.
Re- is a work based on the spirituality of Tibet’s culture, people and land with music sung by Choying Drolma, a Tibetan nun.
