Thousands of diamonds are on view in this exhibition devoted to the natural history, discovery and artistic treatment of diamonds over the last 1000 years. The show features diamonds in the raw, paintings, and in a special crypt encased in 60 ultra-high-security display cases, several crown jewel collections from the major courts of Europe, and kingdoms of the Middle and Far East. Tiffany has sent its famous yellow diamond and Cartier has lent 24 exceptional pieces from the "Art de Cartier" collection in Geneva. A total of 400 priceless masterpieces are on display.
