The exhibition features numerous paintings, sculptures, photographs, drawings, prints and art objects from the Petit Palais collection in Paris.
The exhibition explores the different social conditions in Paris in the 1900s through two main themes: Paris of the well-heeled, with artists depicting the sumptuousness and luxury of the bourgeois lifestyle in which the city played an instrumental role, and Paris of the people, in which painters, engravers and photographers portray another social reality in more naturalistic terms. Some 130 works have been selected.
