Most jazz pianists originally received a classical training. Brad Mehldau (Jacksonville, Florida, 1970) is not an exception to that rule. He made the step from classical music to jazz around the age of 14, and shortly after that, he was already playing his first gigs. Brad Mehldau’s creative piano play is inspired by other jazz artists, like Bill Evans, Oscar Peterson, Keith Jarrett.
