Les McCann and Eddie Harris’s Swiss Movement, and especially its lead track “Compared to What,” was one of those indelible albums that became part of the soundtrack of its time. Recorded in 1969 at the Montreux Jazz Festival, it enjoyed phenomenal popularity. Tenor saxophonist Javon Jackson and pianist Les McCann revisit that music with David Gilmore (guitar), Kenny Davis (bass), and Rudy Royston (drums).
