Kuchipudi is one of the six grand classical styles of Indian dance, sensual, graceful and fluid. And Shantala Shivalingappa is as sensational as her name. Born in India and raised in Paris, she is a totally exquisite dancer. Interpreter (and muse?) of Maurice Béjart as an adolescent, she has also worked with her mother, the choreographer, Savitry Nair, while more recently she has made guest appearances with Pina Bausch.
