Close friend of Sembčne, Dr. Mamadou Diouf, director of Columbia University’s Institute for African Studies, moderates an evening to include personal reminiscence, readings, a screening of Sembčne’s seminal film Borom Sarett, and an original sound score performed by DJ Spooky.
