June Events 2008

June Events is the bi-annual dance festival initiated by the notable Paris-based dancer and choreographer Carolyn Carlson in partnership with Julie Brochen, director of Theatre de l’Aquarium. For 2008 programme Carolyn Carlson has invited  25 European choreographers to present dance programmes at the unique and charming locale of La Cartoucherie – an expansive outdoor site that encompasses several French theatres and theatre companies including Theatre de l’Aquarium, Theatre de Chaudron and Theatre de Soleil.

The 2008 edition also features TANSSI ! 3 days to discover the new Finnish dance scene.

13, 14 and 15 June 2008 : a week-end to discover the new Finnish dance trends.

Artists from the Finnish scene, such as Susanna Leinonen, Jyrki
Karttunen, Tommi Kitti, Jenni Kivelä, Eeva Muilu, Favela Vera Ortiz, Tomi Paasonen, ArivTenhula, Maria Saivosalmi and Andrius Katinas.

A dance film programme and a Finnish atmosphere at the Cartoucherie complete the week end artistic agenda.
