Now in its 31st year, BAM's DanceAfrica festival is a Memorial Day weekend tradition in Brooklyn that features dance, music, art, and film events from Africa and the Diaspora. The 2008 edition of dance performances includes Ceesay Kujabi and the Bachinab, Giwayen Mata, LaRocque Bey School of Dance Theatre, Inc., and BAM/Restoration DanceAfrica Ensemble.
