Singer / songwriter Neil Diamond kicks off a 37-city tour of North America on July 19 for two nights in St. Paul, Minnesota with a stop at Boston's Fenway Park on August 23 and a final concert in Jacksonville, Florida on October 30. In addition to classics such as “Sweet Caroline,” “I’m a Believer,” and “Cherry, Cherry,” Diamond, 67, is promoting "Home Before Dark," his second album with producer Rick Rubin just released by Columbia Records.
The album’s highlights include the stunning lead single “Pretty Amazing Grace” and a striking duet with the Dixie Chicks’ Natalie Maines entitled “Another Day (That Time Forgot).” The new collection was written by Neil Diamond and recorded in Los Angeles with guitarist Mike Campbell, keyboardist Benmont Tench (Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers), bassist/acoustic guitarist Smokey Hormel and guitarist Matt Sweeney.
Neil Diamond scored a number of hits in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s. He was ranked third, behind only Elton John and Barbra Streisand, on the list of the most successful adult contemporary artists in the history of the Billboard chart.
