Dressed in a sleeveless flannel shirt and a dirty baseball cap, Larry The Cable Guy is one of the four “Blue Collar Comedy Tour” performers who have taken the United States by storm with their unique brand of working class comedy that speaks to America’s heartland and its working class population. The tour grossed $15 million, sold more than 1 million copies when released on DVD, and turned Larry into an American superstar. He also stars in the weekly television series Blue Collar TV that airs on the WB network.
Larry the Cable Guy was born Dan Whitney on a pig farm in Pawnee City, Nebraska. He now has a redneck stand-up routine and an exaggerated sourthern drawl that sells out shows around the United States — especially in the red states.
His CD, “The Right To Bare Arms,” continues to be the top-selling comedy album in America and has remained in the top 10 selling country CDs.
His most recent comedy CD "Morning Constitutions" was released by Warner Bros. /Jack Records last year and features more of the backwoods redneck observations and insights that have made Larry The Cable Guy one of the hottest comedians in the United States.
