The artworks from the vaults of the Russian Museum are devoted to images of the Russian Orthodox Rite. Icons, made of wood, carved and copper casting crosses, folding icons, manuscripts, folk artworks, wall painted sheets are on view. The exhibition is arranged according to geographic location and presents the followin sections: “North”, “Petersburg”, “Moscow and Moscow Region”, “Verkhnee Povolzhie and Zavolzhie”, “Urals”, “Vetka and Starodub”.
