This exhibition focuses on Parisian and British couture between 1947-1957, a decade that Christian Dior described as the ‘Golden Age’ of fashion. On display will be stunning gowns and exquisite tailoring from designers such as Balenciaga, Norman Hartnell, Balmain and Givenchy, as well as Dior.
The evening gown featured on the left is by Christian Dior, Paris. It was designed by London-trained John Galliano, artistic director for Dior since 1997.
