Curated by Philip Larratt-Smith the exhibition, Andy Warhol, Mr. America at the Museo del Banco de la República in Bogota, Colombia, features 26 paintings, 57 silk screens, 39 photographs and 2 installations (Silver Clouds and Cow wallpaper). Fourteen of Warhol's films, among them: Poor Little Rich Girl (1965), Kitchen, (1965), Beauty #2 (1965), Lupe (1965) The Chelsea Girls (1966) The Nude Restaurant (1967-68), Imitation of Christ (1967-69) and Lonesome Cowboys (1967-68) at the Gilberto Alzate Avendaño Foundation, will also be screened at the Fundación Gilberto Alzate Avendaño.
After Bogota, the exhibition travels to Buenos Aires and Sao Paulo. The show was organized by Museo de Arte del Banco de la República in conjunction with the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh.
