First exhibition devoted to the 1980s Wunderkind in a Parisian museum. On view are some 60 paintings that cover the 10-year period of Basquiat's activity. An American graffiti and Neo-expressionist artist of Haitian origin, Basquiat paid homage to Black heros in much the same way that Warhol paid homage to stars and celebrities.
