This exhibition brings together an important group of gifts generously presented to the Whitney by members of its Board of Trustees, focusing on the formative works of artists who achieved national acclaim during the 1950s and 1960s. On view are the work of 23 artists including Jackson Pollock, Clyfford Still, Barnett Newman, Mark Rothko, Roy Lichtenstein, Claes Oldenburg and Andy Warhol.
