|Employing concepts and terms from subjects varying from music, to philosophy, to mathematics, Berlin-based artist Jorinde Voigt’s work attempts to record the physical world in intense algorhythmic detail. Reminiscent of seismographic or geological readings, the drawings evoke the atmosphere of a rare moment, depicting the multiplicity inherent in concepts of time, space and speed.|
Voigt (b. 1977) was a nominee for the 2010 Future Generation Art Prize, and winner of the 2008 Otto Dix Prize.
