The legendary Paris Opera Ballet, the oldest national ballet company in the world and the company that literally invented the form, gives their first New York performances since its last visit in 1996.
French Masters of the 20TH Century
This programme includes Suite en Blanc by Serge Lifar, a choreographer whose roots go back to the Ballet Russes; L’Arlesienne by Roland Petit, who defined the contemporary French style in the 1950s; and Boléro by Maurice Bejart.
