The Palais des Beaux-Arts de Lille (Lille Fine Arts Museum) presents a major international exhibition devoted to the fantastic and the fabulous in sixteenth-century Flemish landscape painting. More specifically, it hopes to bring to light the fantastic and cosmological aspects of works by such recognised masters as Bosch, Brueghel, met de Bles, Bril and Patinir, works which generate, still today, fascination, fear and questioning.
