The artists presented in Therapeutic Communities in Prison: a Window on Society are members of the KETHEA EN DRASI therapeutic community and inmates of Korydallos Prison. When the therapeutic community’s facilities were destroyed in a fire in September 2012, its members created art-works on the burnt walls in an effort both to keep their space alive and to add beauty to the prison environment. The wall paintings were photographed and the photographs were processed by the visual artist, Manolis Charos, who also guided the group and provided them with their point of reference.
