For the first time this exhibition brings complete collection of Bedřich Smetana’s small drawings presenting a different side of the national classic’s personality.
Bedřich Smetana's second wife, Betty, is represented with watercolours, drawings, oil paintings and curtain of the amateur theatre in the village of Jabkenice while his eldest grandson Zdeněk Schwarz with pictures from Jabkenice and its outskirts. Painting was a lifelong passion for both of them. This collection is supplemented with casual pictures of Smetana’s daughters and grandsons.
