When you see Violet, you may have a hard time putting your experience into words. And as you leave the theatre you’ll be wondering what really happened to you in there.

The set design is simple: five dancers against a shiny black background, a musician with a laptop and drums. And movement – weaving, swirling, repetitive and abstract. The dancers lose themselves in 90 minutes of intensive dance, with the choreography and music floating along in a stream of waves. Sometimes fast, jerky and mesmerizing, sometimes toned down and tender. Droning, exhausting or simply ravishing? Decide for yourself.
