The Kronan, Flagship of the Swedish fleet, sunk during a battle against the Dutch fleet on June 1st 1676 off the island of Öland in the Baltic sea. Heavily armed and fully supplied, the ship sunk after a heavy explosion taking over 800 men with her (only 42 survived). The exhibition presents a selection of the 25,000 pieces found in the wreak.
