Cipriano de Rore: Passio... secundum Joannem
Composed at the court of Ferrara between 1544 and 1557, the Franco-Flemish composer Cyprien de Rore's St John Passion is , in the Renaissance Passion tradition. Two sackbuts, three bass flutes, and an a cappella quartet give this work its unique character.
