59th Salon de Montrouge

59th Salon de Montrouge
MONTROUGE  •  Le Beffroi  •  Ongoing

Founded in 1955 and free of charge, The Salon de Montrouge aims to presents an overview of contemporary artistic creation with a spotlight on emerging trends. For its 59th edition 73 artists from 15 countries have been selected out of a total of 3,100 applicants who have developed strong ties with France.

Over a surface of 1,500 m2, photography, sculptures, drawings, videos, digital art projects and installations are displayed in individual exhibition modules, thus giving visitors the possibility to view a coherent, significant range of each artist’s work.

Three Salon de Montrouge prizes are awarded and give winners the opportunity to be exhibited at the Palais de Tokyo and the Biennale JCE (Jeune Création Européenne / Biennal of Young European Creation).

The average age of the selected artists is 32: the oldest is 67 and the youngest, 25.

Curator: Stéphane Corréard
Guest of honour: Julien Salaud
Set designer: matali crasset
