This year’s Fringe presents 21,594 performances of 1541 shows by 668 companies in 207 venues. A number of unusual spaces are new additions to the programme, where anything can happen. A man-made waterfall, a public toilet, a red Ford Escort, a stepladder, a bus and a lift will each provide unique Fringe experiences this summer.
The line-up includes: new shows by Gregory Burke, David Harrower, Grid Iron and the Riot Group; Steven Berkoff; Jo Brand in new drama Mental; Dylan Thomas - Return Journey directed by Sir Anthony Hopkins; Ed Byrne in Brian McAvera’s Kings of the Road; Derevo; a celebrity gala performance of The Vagina Monologues (names to be announced); Marion and Geoff by Rob Brydon; Rhona Cameron; Howard Marks; Julian Clary; Lee Hurst; a French Monty Python; Paul Daniels; Manu Chao; Kelly Osbourne; the Mull Historical Society; Linda Marlowe; and an all star-cast for 12 Angry Men, including Jeff Green, Bill Bailey, Stephen Frost, Owen O'Neill, Phil Nichol and David Calvitto.
