The Extended Moment: Fifty Years of Collecting Photographs

Featuring works by Diane Arbus, Edward Burtynsky, and Henri Cartier Bresson, this exhibition organized by the Canadian Photography Institute of the National Gallery of Canada features a selection of 151 works some on display for the first time by more than 100 artists. It reveals how photographers living in different time periods were influenced by their predecessors and explores the role of photographer as an instrument of storytelling.
