Performance in English surtitled in French, Fall Festival Shadows remains faithful to the formula of projecting images onto a large screen with personal running commentary and which are illustrated by music composed and played by Colin Offord. Stepping partly aside from the autobiographical vein which so far has provided the material for his performances (China Diary, Friends of Dorothy, Blood Links…), William Yang, an Australian artist of Chinese origin, confronts the fate of two populations tried by history, the German community in Australia, twice interned during the two world conflicts, and Aborigine children of the region of Enngonia.
