The City Beneath the City: Finds from excavations for the Metropolitan Railway of Athens GREECE ATHENS • Museum of Cycladic Art • Through December 31, 2001
This temporary exhibition features 500 objects unearthed during the excavations for the Metropolitan Railway of Athens and attempts to document the evolution of daily life in Athens from the 17th century B.C. to the 6th century A.D. Unearthed artefacts are also on display at the Syntagma, Kerameikos, Acropolis and Akadimia metro stations.
