From El Greco to Delacroix: The National Gallery of Athens Collections
LAUSANNE  •  Fondation de l'Hermitage  •  Ongoing
A selection of a hundred paintings and drawings from the the National Gallery of Athens (Alexandros Soutzos Museum)including works from both Greek and European cultures, from the Middle Ages to the 19th century, gives the visitor an opportunity to discover the extraordinary wealth of this collection.

In addition, the selection includes a significant ensemble of Greek paintings from the 15th to 19th centuries. Alongside post-Byzantine icons the visitor can also discover works painted after 1830 - the year of Greek independence - by emblematic national artists such as Francesco Pige, Nikolaos Gysis or Georgios Avlichos.
