Highlights include: South African writer Antjie Krog, Ulysses Night with Hayden Chisholm, Danish children's author Louis Jensen will read from his phantasmagorical-magical short stories for children about princes that marry dragons and a small loaf of rye bread that falls in love with a French baguette; Berliner Ensemble's performance of Thomas Bernhard’s Wittgenstein's Nephew ; a screening of Peter Brook's Marat/Sade, Senegalese author Hamidou Dia, readings by French author Frédéderic Beigbeder from his novel, Window on the World, Mohammad Reza Yousefi (Iran) will read oriental fairy tales and stories for children; On Max Schmeling’s 99th birthday, Naomi Krauss and Friedhelm Ptok read texts by Brecht, Joyce Carol Oates, Hemingway and others Wolf Wondratschek and Bertram Job talk about their fascination with boxing; an Internet-Treasure Hunt on the topic "Africa"; The Role of the Media in the Process of Arab Reform; Jörg Hafkemeyer talks to the American author Gore Vidal.
