A jazz musical, incorporating improvisation as well as original music in the tradition of Ellington, Shorter and Holiday.
In addition to Boperetta, Geoffrey Loomis contributes original material to Z-Sound Collect, a workshop/ensemble for jazz composers, as well as fronting his own group, Vital Secrets.
Boperetta was first conceived as a short one act play that was performed for Lower East Side underground theatre The House of Tribes.
