Travel Pick: Art and Archaeology in France Berthe Morisot (1841 - 1895)

This is the first major retrospective exhibition devoted to the work of the French painter Berthe Morisot (1841 - 1895) in forty years. The loan exhibition features around one hundred canvases and some forty watercolours, pastels and lithographs. Ten portraits of Morisot by Edouard Manet complete this retrospective. The exhibition will travel to the Fondation Gianadda in Martigny, Switzerland from 20 June to 19 November 2002. The exhibition is accompanied by a 320-page catalogue with 150 colour and 150 black and white illustrations, jointly edited by RMN and the Gianadda Foundation.
