Over 100 exhibitions on view in 84 museums, galleries and cultural institutions are part of the Third Triennial of Photography in Hamburg. Archive of the Presence is the theme for this year's triennial and through a series of lectures, workshops and symposia attempts to examine issues related to preservation and the safeguarding of photographs as part of the universal memory as well as their evenutal use in electronic media. German photographer Erich Salomon, fashion photographer Lillian Bassman, Peter Thomann, architecture photographer Ursula Schulz-Dornburg, Rainer Fetting, Sven Jacobsen, Finland's Ola Kolemainens are among the photographers whose works are featured during the triennial.
