At the 2004 Lobster Festival, over twelve tons of lobster was prepared in the world's largest lobster cooker. In addition to lobster, many other seafoods are available, including steamed and fried clams, fried Maine shrimp, shrimp cocktail, steamed mussels in wine and vegetable sauce, and other traditional summer fair food, all prepared in the traditional Maine manner. The festival also features a parade, concerts (jazz, celtic, reggae, folk, blues) a cooking contest, an art exhibition and a crate race.
