BASEL  •  Fondation Beyeler  •  Ongoing
This retrospective exhibition of the Belgian artist René Magritte (1898 - 1967) was organized in collaboration with the Kunstforum Wien, the Fondation Magritte, and Steingrim Laursen, former director of the Louisiana Museum near Copenhagen. The exhibition presents a selection of about 95 works from all periods of Magritte’s career – many of his now-legendary images, but also paintings from private collections.
