The 2005 Professional Bull Riders' (PBR) Built Ford Tough World Finals lures the greatest bull riding athletes on the planet to Las Vegas, Nevada to vie for more than $3.2 million dollars in prize money. For the second year in a row, the PBR World Finals will span two consecutive weekends, October 28-30, 2005 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center and November 3-6, 2005 at the Thomas & Mack Center on the campus of University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). This marquee event represents the crown jewel of the 31-city Built Ford Tough Series (BFTS) and features the year's top 45 bull riders who qualify based on money won during the regular season.
Justin McBride (Elk City, OK) has led the BFTS standings and has tied the PBR record for most event wins in one season with six event titles. Close behind is Guilherme Marchi (Leme, Sao Paulo, Brazil) who has two event wins this season and trails McBride by a mere 285 points. Rounding out the top five is Tony Mendes (Jensen, Utah), Greg Potter (Queensland, Australia), and Jody Newberry (Ada, Okla.) respectively.
