The exhibition features a presentation of Malevich's paintings and drawings and those of his Suprematist colleagues, focusing on black and white colours equivalent to contemporary Soviet films, notably those of Vertov and Eisenstein. Highlights of the show include films and a selection of post-war artists who shared Malevich's interest for the documentation of the transmutation of the abstract to real or vice-versa. Artists whose works are on view include Richard Serra (films and objects) Yves Klein (paintings and photos), Claes Oldenburg, Ilya Kabalov, Art and Language, On Kawara, Joseph Kosuth, Eric Bulatov, Leonid Sokov, amongst others.
