Klimt, Schiele, Moser, Kokoschka - Vienna 1900
FRANCE PARIS • Galeries nationales du Grand Palais • Ongoing |
 |
The work of four major painters, brought together in Paris for the first time, in a major exhibition: Gustav Klimt (1862-1918), Egon Schiele (1890-1918), Koloman Moser (1868-1918) and Oskar Kokoschka (1886-1980).
With 91 paintings and 55 drawings executed between 1890 and 1918 (the year of the deaths of Klimt, Schiele and Moser), the exhibition gives a broad overview of the revolution in pictorial language of which the Viennese Secession, a movement founded by Klimt and his artist friends in 1897, was the crucible.
