At the end of the eighties, Franky D.C (b. 1957, Izegem, Belgium) introduced, separate from his emotionally charged, personalised images, the element that makes his art so recognisable. The colour orange crept unconsciously into his paintings and installations. Frank DC sees this orange as the self-operating, self-thinking colour vaccine. At the same time, showing icons made in accordance with the methods of Breughel and Van Eyck, as objects and objects of devotion, symbolises the art of viewing, slow viewing.
