New York artist Paul Manes grew up in Beaumont, Texas. He has gone on to become a much-admired artist, exhibiting in galleries and museums from Milan to Houston. His large-scale paintings and drawings are of subjects ranging from airplanes to collections of precariously-stacked empty bowls.
