First held in 1897, the Monte-Carlo Tennis Masters is one of the major stops on the ATP super 9 series, and is the first clay court event of the year. Rafael Nadal will play at the Monte-Carlo Country Club, April 15-23, 2006, to defend his title.
This year he will try to win three consecutive titles, a record set by Ilie Nastase in 1973. He would, then, enter the elite circle of triple title winners (Nastase, Borg and Muster). Will he manage to achieve this exploit against challengers such as Andy Roddick, Roger Federer, Carlos Moya and Sebastien Grosjean?
